[SUPER CUSTOM] Serek Metropolis / 4-String 30.5″ Scale / Alembic Activator + Filter Preamp

The Metropolis is one of the very first basses I designed. I try to make a few of these each year and here is a great one! This 4-string short scale (30.5″) is loaded with a single Alembic Activator pickup in the P position and an Alembic filter preamp. I am a huge fan of this setup, it is surprisingly versatile and the frequency range is insane!

This bass features an Alder body with a lovely flamed Roasted Maple top. The neck is Roasted Maple with an Ebony fingerboard inlaid with Roasted Maple and Brass. This bass has gold Hipshot Hardware, a Brass nut, and a magnetic control cover for easy access to the tidy control cavity. The finish is Tru-Oil hand-rubbed by yours truly: only the best for the fancy woods!

The Activator is controlled by a Master Volume and a Filter knob with a 2-position gain switch (0db/ 8db). Please watch the video demo to learn more and to hear what this bass is capable of!
