Here is a fun one: a short scale Midwestern with a fancy-pants new wood called Dibetou. I only have limited quantities of this wood, but I have really been enjoying working with it. It has properties similar to Limba and African Mahogany, but with a coloring almost like a light-toned piece of Walnut! The result isn’t too dissimilar from a standard Midwestern; Dibetou makes for a lightweight, resonant, and warm-sounding instrument!
The fingerboard is Granadillo and the pickup is my Serek B90 single coil with a dummy coil hiding under the pickguard, both made in-house.
