This Sacramento wants to go to Outer Space! It has a 34″ scale length with a 1.5″ nut width. Two TV Jones Thunder’Tron pickups are placed in 60s Jazz positions and the bass is topped off with an Inca Silver Metallic Lacquer finish.
The Sacramento was originally designed as an homage to one of my favorite bass brands of all time. It began as a short-scale, chambered body bass, but quickly proved to be an excellent platform for variations on a theme. Now, three different scale lengths are available (30.5”, 32”, and 34”) as well as a solid bodied version. Binding, body contours, top woods, pickups, and inlays are among the multitude of other customizations at hand. Unlike many 2 pickup basses, the pickups on the Sacramento are positioned to be useful both one at a time, or in unison. The Sacramento is a great choice for the player who wants to take part in creating an instrument that is uniquely their own.
